Milton Brown was born and raised in Washington County Florida where he graduated from Vernon High School. He then attended college in Monroeville, Alabama at Alabama Southern College.
While attending college he meet his future wife Genevelyn Kidd Brown. They have been married for 39 years and have four children.
He served 26 years of public service as a Florida Highway Patrol officer where he retired as a sergeant.
During his time as a state Trooper he was named the highway patrol’s trooper of the year for two lifesaving events and has twice been awarded the Medal of Valor which is the Highway patrol’s highest award.
Having been an instructor for over 20 years, he has taught at the Highway Patrol academy as well as Law Enforcement Classes for North Florida College.
He has conducted hundreds of safety, drug and violence prevention classes and presentations to schools and other organizations all over the Florida panhandle.
In 2012, Mr. Brown was elected to the Washington County School board, where he currently serves as vice chairman.
Mr. Brown and his family currently attend Shepherd’s Gate Church in Sunny Hills where he serves as pastor.
